STUDY IN AUSTRIA


A once-in-a-lifetime Experience:

Take classes in the histroy of the French Revolution,and then board a train to France when class ends.Learn more about the history of Christianity one day,then travel to Rome and other hallowed sites of Christendom the next.Interested? Read on.

After their freshman year,all Franciscan students have the opportunity to study for one semester in Franciscan University of Steubenvilles Austrian Program.The picturesque village of Gaming,nestled in the foothills of the Austrian Alps,serves as homebase for the 150 students who take advantage of this program each semester.They live and study in a fourteenth century Carthusian monastery,restored to its original Baroque splendor.

Find your home away from home family and discover your best friends for life in one of our faith households.When you join a small group of your peers who choose to live as brothers or sisters,you will openly share your ideas,fait,and fun.


Meet new people and develop your leadership skills and character through Franciscan intramural sports programs or NCAA Divsion III varsity athletics.Participate year round with the majority of your FUS peers in intramural sports such as Ultimate Frisbee,volleyball,and basketball,among others.Or join a varsity team to pursue your personal formation and evangelize others through intercollegiate programs that include soccer,basketball,cross country,volleyball,rugby,and more.

Contribute your God given talents and build up the Body of Chris on campus through chapet Ministries.Expand your understanding and appreciation of the Catholic faith through liturgies,Festivals of Praise, and retreats.

Get involved with co curricular academic organizations and clubs where you use your talents while gaining valuable leadership skills and work experience in groups that range from the chesterton society,students for life,club de espanol,Franciscan University student Government,Fine Arts society,and Instruments of Peace to Matematics club,Psi chi national psychology honor society,political science association,commuter student association,lumen vicents campus magazine,the Troubandour students newspaper,and national student nurses association, and when it comes to fun,the office of studnent activities better known as excite has you covered.
